Currently I have it setup to check my torrent tracker for new TV i watch and when a new episode comes out it will automatically download it, make a copy to my media library, rename that file to the correct format, and then update my Plex server so my friends and family and myself can start watching it as soon as its finished downloading and I dont have to do any work. rTorrent is so powerful and can do so many things. I currently use rtorrent on Linux and use ruTorrent for the front end web interface. But yeah Kodi is really useful if you have a lot of local media you like to play on a TV and with the add-ons you can do so much more and basically watch all the TV and Movies you could ever need.Īs for torrent client I always used to use qbittorrent and thats what I recommend and setup for friends and family. Also you can get all the other apps like Netflix, HBO, Showtime, Plex. I love Kodi and having it on a Amzon fire box is the best setup Ive ever had for watching TV. They arent technically legal but you'd never get in trouble for them. I get add-ons so I can stream TV and movies. It then has add-ons that you can get for it to make it do everything else. Its great for watching media that you have on your computer and gives you a nice interface for a TV and to use a remote with.
